2026 Prelims changed the game. The paper highlighted the growing importance of Current Affairs, unfamiliar question framing and new patterns, while CSAT continued to demand greater preparation and practice. 3 Major Changes You Need For Prelims 2027:

1. Current Affairs can no longer be prepared separately. In 2026, the importance of Current Affairs and its linkage with static subjects was clearly visible. Simply reading monthly compilations is not enough. You need regular exposure to questions and the ability to connect current developments with static concepts. That is why we have increased Current Affairs questions in our Daily Tests from 10 to 15 questions every day. This ensures that Current Affairs becomes a part of your daily preparation rather than a last-minute exercise.

2. CSAT cannot be postponed until the end. With the increasing difficulty of CSAT, waiting until March or April to start preparation can leave you unprepared for the actual exam pressure. That is why Dominate now gives CSAT a daily presence — 5 CSAT questions every single day, along with dedicated Daily CSAT Tests. Regular practice covers Reading Comprehension, Basic Numeracy and Logical Reasoning while building speed, accuracy and question-selection skills.

3. You need to prepare for UPSC's New Patterns of Questions. Familiar topics are increasingly being tested through unfamiliar statements, conceptual applications and option structures. Dominate trains you to handle this through:
